The right KPI´s on your way to success

To be able to  continuously improve processes, they must be constantly monitored, their significant process parameters measured, evaluated and optimization potential derived from them.
Regardless of whether you are dealing of office processes, industrial production sequences or other process types, the constant questioning and checking of the already implemented improvements are the basis for a sustainable efficient process.

Shopfloor management in the industrial production environment is about systematically making points in the process measurable in order to be able to control the process in a targeted manner using the results and downstream analyses.
This is particularly important at the points where employees are involved in the process, whereby typical human tolerances arise.

"Tell me how you measure me, and I will tell you how I will behave."
Eliyahu M. Goldratt

The measured values are displayed as key performance indicators (KPl's) on the shop floor board through easy-to-read graphs and are updated regularly (usually daily). They serve mostly as a reflector for daily shop floor meetings.
The number of measurements is not important, it makes more sense to have fewer measurements, but more meaningful ones.
It is advantageous to make the key figures accessible to every employee to make them understanding what are the issues.
This understanding is a prerequisite for employees to participate in the improvement process.

Tecoma has already implemented overviewable shop floor management systems for its customers, with a strong focus on transparency and accountability.
We support your operational departments in collecting the right key data to present them in such a way that the right measures can be derived from them.
